Aletta Chen

She finished high school by 15 in China, and at 16 moved to Australia, learned English and enrolled at Bond University in Queensland to study law. In the following year, she completed a Graduate Diploma with Leo Cussen and was admitted to legal practice at the age of 19.
Driven by her inner sense of responsibility towards the disadvantaged, Aletta is committed to delivering social justice through her legal work focusing on migration and administrative law.
Since joining the Bardo team in 2017, Aletta has successfully helped her clients with a variety of challenging matters. She manages cases relating to visa cancellation, refusal, public interest criteria, ministerial intervention, AAT merits review and judicial review.
Comparably, Aletta is experienced in dealing with skills assessment authorities and advising clients on complex applications with AITSL, ANMAC, ACS, Engineers Australia, and VETASSESS.
Prior to her current role, Aletta has worked in a range of legal areas in both private sectors and community legal centres including Refugee and Immigration Legal Centre (RILC). During her university study, she has led the University Chinese Student Association and coordinated several large cultural festivals held in the local community.
In addition to native language Mandarin, Aletta also speaks Japanese and enjoys the cross-cultural encounters ensued from the professional experience. Integrity, passion and perseverance are what enables Aletta to achieve the optimal outcome for her clients.
Nazim El-Bardouh
Immigration Law Accredited Specialist
Nazim is the Principal Lawyer and founder of Bardo Lawyers. He is one of a mere 35 Immigration Law Specialists accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV). Nazim graduated from Monash University with a double degree in Law and Information Technology in 2008. He was admitted into practice as a solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court in the state of Victoria in 2009. He was registered as a Migration Agent in 2009. He speaks Arabic fluently and maintains an excellent rapport with his clients. He practises primarily in the areas of immigration, property, commercial and family law. Nazim is registered as a Migration Agent with the Migration Agents Registration Authority, MARN: 0963171. Nazim was featured in a wide range of Australian media reports and prints covering some of the complex immigration matters he handled such as the Orphan Family Case – Herald Sun – July 2014, and the Twin Brothers Case – Herald Sun – October 2014. Nazim is a regular commentator on “SBS Radio Talks” covering controversial migration policies and changes. In 2013, and due to an increase in demand for quality work, Nazim established the Dandenong (VIC) and Regents’ Park (NSW) branches of Bardo Lawyers. In 2016 and also due to further demand, Nazim established the Parramatta (NSW) and Melbourne CBD (VIC) branches of Bardo Lawyers. Due to his enormous contributions to Australian society, Nazim was nominated for the Australian of the Year Award in 2015. Being the principal solicitor, Nazim is responsible for supervising and overseeing all staff employed with Bardo Lawyers. Nazim is particularly passionate about advocating and running MRT and RRT cases and has a proven track record, as exhibited by the many hundreds of MRT/RRT cases he has run. Due to his outstanding achievements within the legal industry, Nazim was able to secure some major contracts with a number of Arab Gulf Embassies to run the legal affairs of their nationals across Australia. Additionally, Nazim was chosen by some of the most leading local and international education recruitment agencies to run their clients’ legal and migration affairs. In the commercial law field, Nazim represented and acted for a number of shopping centres and multinational corporations and franchises in complex commercial transactions. More recently, Nazim has been particularly focusing on Business Migration dealing with high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and businesspeople from China, India and the Middle East.
Rayan Hazim
Refugee Lawyer
Rayan graduated from La Trobe University in 2014 with a double degree in Law and Media Studies. Rayan later went on to complete a Master of Laws in Global Business Law. Rayan joined Bardo Lawyers in February 2015 and undertook her Supervised Workplace Traineeship with the firm. Rayan developed a passion for Migration Law and chose to practice primarily in this area of law with a particular interest in refugee and Human Rights law. Rayan has handled a vast number of complex Protection and Refugee cases for applicants from various countries and background such as Pakistan, India, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Syria and many other countries. Rayan is also registered Migration Agent and handles the firms Corporate client’s seeking to employ foreign skilled migrants.
Rayan is passionate about social justice and community service. Rayan has been involved in a number of activities to support youths in the community such as the Elevate Program with Price Waterhouse Coopers & Mission Australia, the Great Australian Sizzle & Melbourne Citymission Bridges. Rayan is bilingual being able to speak, read and write Arabic fluently, thereby rendering her capable of assisting clients who do not communicate in English.

Olga Nazha
Visa Cancellations and complex immigration Expert
Education
Olga graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree (double major in criminology and history). During her Juris Doctor degree, she was on the editorial board of the Melbourne Journal of International Law. In 2018, she completed her Practical Legal Training with The College of Law and was admitted into legal practise.
Practice Area
Olga commenced at Bardo Lawyers in 2016. Olga’s practise primarily comprises of Administrative Law and Migration law. She has experience in complex matters such as challenging visa cancellation notices, requesting ministerial intervention, waivers and responding to character based issues for Citizenship and Migration matters. Her work has involved statutory interpretation and appeal work before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.
In addition to the above, Olga has prepared offshore and onshore protection visa applications. She has also assisted Bardo Lawyers’ corporate clients in their employment of foreign skilled migrants. Olga is a strategic thinker who is committed to excellence and achieving the best outcome for her clients.
Associations and Community Involvement
Outside of the law, Olga has been an active member of the community. She is currently the Vice Chairperson and Secretary of the Australia Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Young Entrepreneurs (ALCCIYE) and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) and Victorian Women Lawyers (VWL). Olga has demonstrated a commitment to the protection of human rights: she has volunteered for organisations such as WestJustice, Amnesty International and the Refugee Council of Australia.

Yassin Noureddine

Yassin completed his Bachelor of Laws at La Trobe University and commenced legal practice in August 2011. Yassin developed a passion for Family Law early in his career and decided to practice exclusively in Family Law. Prior to joining Bardo Lawyers, Yassin practised in a well regarded Specialist Family Law firm and brought his valuable skill set and expertise to Bardo Lawyers. Yassin practises exclusively in all areas of Family Law, which includes complex property disputes involving businesses and trusts, both litigious and non-litigious matters, parenting disputes, real property disputes, spousal maintenance, child support disputes, the preparation of financial agreements and family violence matters. Yassin is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for his client and ensuring that they are well supported throughout their Family Law matter.
Isa Noureddine
Generalist Lawyer
Isa graduated from La Trobe University in 2013 with a double degree in Law and Accounting. Isa joined Bardo Lawyers as a Supervised Workplace Trainee in 2013. and was admitted to practice in 2014. Isa is the head of the firm’s Commercial Law and Will’s and Estates Division. Isa has handled a number of complex litigation matters in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (“VCAT”), the Magistrates’ Court, the Supreme Court of Victoria and the County Court of Victoria. Isa has a strong commercial focus with a proven ability to work closely with clients to achieve prompt and fair outcomes. He is efficient, accurate and attuned to clients’ desires for precise, practical and pragmatic advice, having had experience in very complex Commercial Law and Wills and Estates matters. Rana Sayed

Rana Sayed graduated with a double degree in Law and Business, (Human Resource Management) from the University of Western Sydney in 2015.
Rana was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in May 2015.
She was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
Rana is a registered Migration Agent with the Office of Migration Agents Registration Authority, MARN: 1685367
In addition to her degrees in Business and in Law, Rana also has extensive experience in Personal Injury, Immigration Law, Wills and Probate, Civil Litigation and Property Law matters.
She specialises in Motor Vehicle Accidents, Public Liability and Workers Compensation matters.
She has attended District Court hearings as well as settlement conferences that have achieved outstanding results for the client.
Rana speaks Arabic fluently to extend further assistance where needed to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Olia Kamreddine
Registered Migration Agent - Visitor and Student Visa Expert
Olia obtained a Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice from the Australian National University in 2015. She then joined Bardo Lawyers in October 2015 as a migration agent. Olia works exclusively in the area of migration law.
After joining Bardo Lawyers in October 2015, Olia has quickly established a track record of successful outcomes across a range of immigration matters, including family, skilled migration, student Visas to merits review before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Olia has particular expertise in complex issues, including those surrounding Schedule 3 and public interest criteria.
In addition to her casework experience, Olia will commence the Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University in November 2018.
Prior to joining Bardo Lawyers, Olia spent a number of years in travel and tourism services. Olia has a diverse career background in Tourism. In 2011, Olia was awarded the Melbourne Airport Developing Tourism leaders award for developing innovative business plans.
